Mission StatementThe mission of the Recreation Division of the Spokane Parks and Recreation Department is to enhance personal health and well-being, to improve the quality of life, and to further develop a sense of community with the citizens of Spokane. We promote and provide leisure, recreational and cultural opportunities for all areas, all skill and age levels. We offer many diverse programs through Special Interest, Corbin Art Center, City-Wide Special Events, Aquatics, Senior Centers, Youth and Community Centers, Summer Parks, Adult Sports, and Specialized Recreation Programs.
Policy On Alcohol and SmokingThe Park Department has established a policy of prohibiting the possession and use of alcohol or other drugs while in trip vehicles or program facilities. In addition, smoking (in any form) is also prohibited . Your cooperation in adhering to these policies is greatly appreciated.
Americans With Disabilities ActIn providing services to the public the City must comply with the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA), a federal anti-discrimination statute designed to remove barriers which prevent qualified individuals with disabilities from discrimination on the basis of disability in the services, programs, or activities of local governments.
